POLICE in New Providence are looking for the suspects responsible for an armed robbery on Thursday evening in which a "substantial amount" of cash was taken.

According to reports, shortly after 6pm, two men with a handgun robbed a man outside a business establishment on Blue Hill Road of a deposit bag containing a substantial amount of cash before fleeing in a green Nissan Note vehicle, licence number 215423. Investigations continue.

Officers from the Mobile Division also discovered a .22 rifle behind a home on McCullough Corner on Thursday around 10am after a tip off. No one was arrested for the discovery.
