Paul Hanna is doing what he's called to do

Jazz musician Paul Hanna is doing what he was called to do. He will return to the stage at The Black Box Theater at The Dundas, to launch his long-awaited DC album recording.

The concert titled "Paul Hanna: In Essence, Doing What I'm Called To Do" will feature a collection of R&B classics and fan favorites, as well as original songs from his long-awaited CD album. It will be held on Friday, April 15 from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m.

Hanna -- a producer, songwriter, vocalist, author, and pianist has had a diverse career that has included producing the movie sound track "This Time Next Year" for the movie "This Time Next Year" by Earlin Williams. Hanna has been featured in performances with scores of top artists, including top 40 R&B artist Jeffrey Osbourne, Nancy Wilson, Peabo Bryson, Denise Williams, Melba Moore, Harold Melvin, Maxine Nightingale, Billy Cobham, Arturo Sandoval, Grammy Award winners Jeff Haynes, Gary Haase, Roger Ryan, Stan Getz, Chick Corea and Gail Corea.

Hanna is also known nationally and abroad for his stirring performances with his wife Tanya Hanna.

In 2015 he received the coveted You In Music PTTM Outstanding Achievement, Service and Performance Award.

He has performed command performances for former U.S. Ambassador Sidney Williams, former Governor General Sir Orville Turnquest and Sir Sidney Poitier.
