The Augusta Green Jackets is reported to be one of the top minor league baseball teams to watch this season, and one of the main reasons for that is the addition of Bahamian speedster Lucius Fox.

Considered the best athlete of the 2015 international draft class, the 18-year-old's quickness along with his ability to switch-hit, could make Fox a valuable option as a leadoff hitter for Augusta. He was assigned to the Green Jackets on April 1.

Fox, the Giants fourth ranked prospect, signed with the team last year as an international free agent after moving back to The Bahamas. The Green Jackets will also feature a host of other million-dollar signees, including Jalen Miller, Gustavo Cabrera and Phil Bickford.

"This will be an exciting group to watch this season as the San Francisco Giants have provided us a talented group," said Green Jackets General Manager Tom Denlinger.

The Green Jackets start their 28th consecutive season of professional baseball in Augusta on Thursday April 14 against the Charleston RiverDogs (NY Yankees).

In a recent interview with The Nassau Guardian, Fox spoke on some of the ups and downs he went through in his first year as a pro, dealing with the expectations set for him due to the size of his contract, and how overcoming those expectations can help him this season.

"I really had a lot to learn, especially seeing that I went from being the best to playing with guys who have the same amount of talent as I," said Fox. "I grew mentally, both on and off the field, and just became a better person all-around. At first I really put a lot of pressure on myself, just trying to show everyone that I was worth the money, but after a while, I just went out and played my game. People are going to talk about you either way, so I'm just focused on giving it my all every time I'm out there."

Fox was one of the most celebrated prospects of 2015, signing a bonus worth approximately six million dollars with the Giants. When he reclassified as an international free agent, he immediately became one of the most sought after prospects for last year's signing period.
