Conflict 'most frequent motive' for 2010 murders

CONFLICT was the most frequently encountered motive for murders committed last year, according to police intelligence.

Statistics released by the police this month show 34 of the 94 murders last year resulted from some form of argument, altercation or confrontation.

"All year long we were speaking to conflicts, talking about people resolving their conflicts peacefully instead of using violence.
