Christine Rolle, proprietor of Christine's Gas Station, was honored for over 60 years of stellar business service in the Farmer's Hill Community by Reverend Stephen Smith and the Ebenezer Church family during their first business day service, at which business owners in the Exuma community came together to worship and to receive blessings.
Smith, whose topic was entitled "Launch out into the deep", admonished business owners to leave their comfort zones and venture further out, but that to do so they must remain focused, and not follow the crowd.
He reminded the business community that Simon Peter fished all night and caught nothing, and that it was not until he was told by God to cast his net to the other side that he received a good catch. The Ebenezer pastor reminded the members of the business community that they were all in the same business -- advancing humanity.
Smith also reminded the congregants of the failed attempts by many famous people, but who stayed the course to become successful.
He encouraged the members of the business community to allow God to guide their path and their business decisions. He also urged them to be loyal to God and to pay their tithes and offerings. The reverend told managers to always fairly roster their staff so as to allow them to be able to attend church at least once per month.
