Auto sector fears rise over false invoicing

CONCERNS are growing in the Bahamian automotive industry about some car dealers who are allegedly offering imported vehicles at what are considered by many to be impossibly reduced prices.

Ben Albury of Bahamas Bus and Truck, and Fred Albury of Executive Motors, both told Tribune Business they believe some car dealers may be submitting false invoices to the Customs Department and clearing their vehicles without paying the proper duty.
