NASSAU, Bahamas - A morning commuter narrowly escaped serious injury yesterday after his out-of-control vehicle ended up wedged between a tree and a wall during rush hour.

According to a witness on the scene, the driver - who has not been identified - had to climb out through the sunroof of the silver Land Rover Discovery after he allegedly lost control of his car when he drove into a patch of water.

The car was heading east in the area of the Societe Generale banking company on West Bay Street when the incident occurred.

An unidentified driver crawled through his sunroof after crashing near Societe Generale bank on West Bay Street.

The driver appears to have sustained only "minor scrapes" after managing to avoid colliding head-on with either the wall or the casuarina tree.
