Traffic on two north/south roads has shifted to one way as part of the governments road improvement plan.
Traffic that once flowed in both directions is now restricted to northbound traffic on Baillou Hill Road (from Robinson Road to Wulff Road) and southbound traffic on Market Street (from Wulff Road to Robinson Road).
The new system went into effect, Tuesday, March 30.
Charlene Collie-Harris, project civil engineer in the Ministry of Public Works and Transport, said drivers had not used the roads much since the change, probably because they were not sure what to do.
“Once the road markings go in, the public will know there are two lanes and they will be able to travel to the junction and make an east or west turn," Collie-Harris said.
