A Bahamasair flight was reportedly unable to land at the Grand Bahama International Airport early on Friday morning due to strong winds associated with a cold front that moved into the area. According to a passenger, the flight made two attempts to land but was forced to return to New Providence. Meteorlogist Kirk James said a cold front moved in to Grand Bahama just before 7am, with northerly winds of 25 knots gusting to 30 knots with rain. Mr. James said that Grand Bahama can expect some temporary improvement on Saturday but that another cold front is expected to move into the area with much stronger conditions on Sunday.
