As part of the feature, the magazine took a look at the world of Residential Real Estate in The Bahamas and spoke to Hull a native Out Islander, working and practicing in Marsh Harbour, Abaco.
Hull has over 18 years experience representing international developers, vendors, purchasers and global financial institutions in the purchase and development of upscale dynamic real property in The Bahamas Cays including subdivision development, condominium development, purchase and sale of private Cays and Islands.
The Bahamas born, Swiss, Canadian, US, Trinidadian and Swedish educated attorney, believes that 2016 will be a benchmark year for purchasing property in the Abacos. "Our island has been preparing over the past few years and now has a brand-new world class international airport and private FBO capable of handling the largest private jets," stated Hull.
"A brand new Medical Centre, new $105m electricity plant, new international port, new harbour under construction by China Harbour Development Company in the north of the island, and importantly no income, corporate or inheritance taxes and no crime."
"2015 has seen the end of the recession in the real property market in Abaco," she added. "During the recession, property prices fell in the Abaco's by almost 50 percent. The ensuing six years saw flat property prices as distressed properties were slowly purchased. Now with the increased activity since early 2015, the inventory of available homes and coastal land is at a six year low. Thus the buyer's market of the recession days is just about over."
