The Ranfurly Home for Children got some added cheer just in time for the holidays this year when CIBC FirstCaribbean demonstrated its commitment to Bahamian Youth with a donation to help cover the home’s holiday activities.

A long-time sponsor of Ranfurly Home, the Bank commended the home for the profound impact it makes on the lives of young Bahamians who need it most.

“Our young people are the country’s most valuable resources but also our most vulnerable,” said CIBC FirstCaribbean Managing Director Marie Rodland-Allen. “We consider it doing our part to nurture our youth when we support organisations like The Ranfurly Home who do incredible work to improve the lives of many Bahamian children.”

As the country’s only privately-run home, The Ranfurly Home would be unable to operate without the support of corporate citizens.

“We fundraise over 90% of our operating budget so these donations are essential to our survival,” said Ranfurly’s Director Alexander Roberts. “CIBC FirstCaribbean has been good to us over the years and we are grateful for the corporate sponsors who help us keep our doors open.”

Youth and Education are a major component of CIBC First Caribbean’s four-pronged social impact policy which also promotes health & wellness, staff volunteerism and community & environmental causes.
