PokerStars Caribbean Adventure Festival

The nine-day PCA 2016 festival takes place January 6-14 at Atlantis in the Bahamas. The festival kicks off at noon on Wednesday, January 6, with the flagship $100,000 Super High Roller event. The final day of the three-day tourney will be broadcast live, cards-up from 2pm (subject to a one-hour security delay), on PokerStars.tv, YouTube and facebook. MEDIA ROOM/REGISTRATION
The media room is called Eros and is on your right as you go towards the tournament area (in the Atlantis Conference Center). Media accreditation is open officially from 11am, January 6. All media attending the PCA are prohibited from any kind of gaming anywhere in the Bahamas for the duration of the event. This includes off-property casinos, online or in your hotel room.

You must credit PokerStars in the first instance of your event coverage and write PokerStars Caribbean Adventure in full, not just PCA. The PSLive guidelines provides further general information.

PCA 2016
A record 104 tourneys are taking place at Atlantis during the 2016 PCA festival. Aside from the Super High Roller, events include the second ever LAPT Bahamas Main Event (unlimited re-entries, starts January 7, now with reduced $2,200 buy-in). The PCA 2016 Main Event starts Jan 8. A $50k One-Day High Roller Single Re-Entry takes place January 9. The three-day $25k High Roller starts Jan 12 and the $600 Ladies Event on Jan 14. PCA MAIN EVENT
The 2016 PCA Main Event starts January 8 and now has a reduced buy-in of $5,300 to bring in line with EPT Main Event. More than 340 players have already won their $10,770 prize package online on PokerStars. Last year American online pro Kevin Schulz defeated a 816-strong field for $1,491,580. Last year also saw Brazilian football legend and Team PokerStars SportStar Ronaldo outlast some of the biggest names in poker to make it to 26th place and a $42,180 payday. He has made good on his promise to return to the PCA this year and will be competing on Day 1a of the Main Event, as well as taking part in an invite-only televised celebrity charity tournament on January 9, hosted by EPTLive presenter Joe Stapleton.

TEAM POKERSTARS

HU4ROLLZ is back with players taking on Team PokerStars members Marc-Andre Ladouceur, Liv Boeree and Randy Lew in free-to-enter Heads-Up Challenges running January 8-10 in the Player Lounger.

TAILGATE NFL PLAYOFFS PARTY
Team PokerStars Pro & 2003 World Champion Chris Moneymaker is hosting the second PCA tailgate party for NFL fans in the Player Lounge. All players are welcome to join in the fun with food, football, music, beer pong and free-to-enter squares competition. Date/time tbc.

ATARI-SPONSORED PLAYER LOUNGE
The PCA Player Lounge is open daily from midday to midnight, January 6-14. Sponsored this year by video game pioneer Atari, players can compete for an Atari 2600 Flashback console in classic games such as Centipede®, Asteroids® and Missile Command® from 2pm – 10pm.

3 v 3 BASKETBALL WITH MERCIER
Team PokerStars Pro Jason Mercier will host the first PCA 3 v 3 Shootout competition at 10am on January 11 & 12. Up to 48 players can compete; each member of the top three-person team will win a $1k side event tournament ticket.

BREAKFAST WITH THE PROs
The ever-popular Team Pro Q&A sessions will run daily January 7-13 in the Player Lounge (11:00-12:00). Free breakfast provided!

POKERSTARS CASINO $100k GTD BLACKJACK TOURNAMENT
The first PCA live Blackjack tournament is in taking place in the Atlantis Casino on January 8 from 2pm. The $500 event is capped at 216 players. Click here for PokerStars blog report.

PCA PLAYER PARTY
The PCA 2016 Player Party is from 8pm - 10.30pm on Thursday, January 14 in the Grand Ballroom - with food, entertainment and free bar. Party tickets will also get you free entry in to Aura nightclub afterwards (please note, drinks in Aura are not free).

PCA WEBCASTS
EPTLive will be broadcasting live from the final day of the $100k Super High Roller - cards-up and starting at 2pm EST (subject to 1-hour security delay). The action continues January 9 with live coverage of the PCA Invitational Charity tourney from 2pm (EST) and then the cameras switch to Day 2 of the PCA Main Event on January 10. Coverage continues daily until the January 14 cards-up final table.
