Popeyes Bahamas Bowl youth clinic set for Tuesday

Mon, Dec 21st 2015, 12:15 AM

One of the highly anticipated events of Popeyes Bahamas Bowl week is set for Tuesday, as the 2015 Popeyes Bahamas Bowl Youth Football Leadership Clinic will take place from 2:30-5:30 p.m. at the Roscow A.L. Davies Soccer Field in New Providence. The clinic is open to boys and girls, ages 7-13, and it will be held in cooperation between the Popeyes Bahamas Bowl, USA Football and the Bahamas American Football Federation (BAFF). A USA Football coach along with student-athletes and staff from the Middle Tennessee and Western Michigan football teams will run the clinic, teaching football fundamentals and safety techniques.

Last year's clinic was a success as student-athletes were able to give back to the youth of The Bahamas using football and fun to interact with participants involved in the event, showing what exercise and hard work can attain. Registration for the event will take place from 2:30-3 p.m., and the clinic will follow from 3-5:30 pm.

Each registered participant will receive a Popeyes Bahamas Bowl T-shirt and a game ticket voucher. Each participant must submit a completed event waiver prior to participation.
