Sunshine Finance supports Urban Renewal 250 strong

The 7th Annual Sunshine Insurance Race Weekend is fast approaching January 16th & 17th. The eventful weekend which couples the Sunshine Insurance Marathon Bahamas and the Susan G. Komen Bahamas Race for The Cure, has received numerous international accolades including been named one of the best Marathon events in The World.

Sunshine Finance is pleased to announce its sponsorship of Urban Renewal by sponsoring 250 inner city youth being 50 relay teams for Sunshine Insurance Marathon Bahamas and 50 Registrants for the Susan G. Komen Bahamas Race for the Cure.

In accepting the donation, Cynthia “Mother” Pratt was passionate about the role sports can play in empowering our country’s youth and the invaluable exposure that comes from participating in sporting events of the caliber of Sunshine Insurance Race Weekend.

Sunshine Finance President, Rosel Moxey, LLB (Hons) remarked, “We love forging partnerships like this that last well beyond Race Weekend. Our company values align with the age old adage that ‘it takes a village to raise a child’ and that ‘if each of us do a little, we can accomplish, a lot’. The ability to extend sponsorship to Urban Renewal is heartwarming and provides not only benefit to them but  pleasure for us.”

Mr. Franklyn R. Wilson CMG, Chairman and Founder of Sunshine Insurance Race Weekend expressed with joy that the event has donated in excess of $250,000.00 to local beneficiaries and medical research.
