For the fourth consecutive year, RBC Royal Bank partnered with Hands for Hunger as the presenting sponsor of Paradise Plates. Hands For Hunger is a humanitarian non-profit organization committed to the elimination of unnecessary hunger and food waste that provides more than 800,000 meals to Bahamians through its food rescue program that currently assists 14 recipient outreach agencies.

"Together we make more of an impact than alone. RBC Royal Bank and RBC FINCO are grateful for the opportunity to continue our long-standing partnership with Hands for Hunger," said Nathaniel Beneby, managing director, RBC Royal Bank, Bahamas, Cayman and Turks & Caicos Islands. Over the years we have observed their outstanding work in the fight against hunger and commend the entire team for a successful event."

"RBC has been active in the Bahamian community for over 100 years. Our team has been committed to the work of Hands For Hunger since the organization's inception, being involved in Hands For Hunger initiatives multiple times a year for the past seven years," said Deborah Zonicle, manager, products, marketing and channels, RBC Royal Bank, Bahamas Cayman and Turks & Caicos Islands. "We are proud to have played a significant role in the night's success and to offer support."

"There continues to be a great need in the community for Hands For Hunger's services. Fourteen recipient agencies and organizations throughout New Providence, such as The Bahamas Red Cross Society, The Salvation Army, Church of God of Prophecy and Great Commission Ministries receive meals for those in need. Each outreach agency has its own feeding programs, which serve diverse populations in the community who face food insecurity," said Anna Bancroft, communications manager, Hands for Hunger.

RBC gets involved in Hands For Hunger's three major fundraisers throughout the year. The team provides accountancy during the annual Coin Drive, education and awareness building on World Hunger Day in May, presenting sponsorship of Paradise Plates, and gift wrapping over the holidays. The RBC team is dedicated and enthusiastic to lend a helping hand where needed.

"RBC remains committed to community engagement activities that better the environments in which our team and clients live and work. Hunger is a reality in The Bahamas and it's an issue we should all take personally. Our teams address these plights by strategic partnerships with local charity organizations, like Hands For Hunger, who do exceptional work to ensure needs are being met," said Patrice Ritchie, area vice president, New Providence, RBC Royal Bank.
