Commonwealth Bank is once again a major sponsor of the event and their staff will be handling the gate, ticket sales and banking for the event. “The support of Commonwealth Bank for the Christmas Jollification has been an amazing partnership. Their employees really love working at the event and Commonwealth’s support for the advertising and promotion of this annual fundraiser provides much needed funds to support the Retreat Garden - one four national parks here on New Providence,” said Sally Varani-Jones, Jollification Committee Member.

Caribbean Bottling Company is also once again supporting the work of the Trust by providing a special T-Shirt sponsored by Coca Cola for new and renewing BNT members. The shirts will feature the Coca Cola Polar Bears and you won’t want to miss the opportunity of receiving one of these great holiday souvenirs.

This year’s event will feature a wonderful selection of Christmas spirits from Bristol Wines and Spirits that will be perfect for your holiday gatherings. Organisers have created a special area for sampling the spirits in the Mistletoe Lounge, which also features a special area with Bahamian Brewery’s distinctive selection of beer.

Patrons will be able to purchase homemade jams, jellies and condiments from Maxine Ritchie, Ridge Farms and Bahama Bee. Beautiful Christmas decorations and gifts will be available from Azure, Judith Papilion, Trevor Tucker, Beached Treasures, Pico Crafts, Linda Sands, Woodwork by Craig Roberts of Native Sun and many other talented crafts persons.

If bling is your thing, the event features a selection of jewelry by Caroline Anderson, All that Glitters, Origins Bahamas, Pirates and Pearls and original silver designs by Peter Bradley of Conch Pearl Galleries that will certainly help you accessorize your holiday outfits.

The ever popular Children’s Crafts area will entertain your child with creative Christmas crafts sponsored by Bluebird Juice and Jolly Land will feature exhibits by Ardastra Gardens, Desi’s Ballons, Ice Cream from Fun Foods and Face Painting by Brigette Flowers.

Gardening enthusiasts will be able to purchase unusual and hard to find plants from The Plant Ladies, Orchids from Flamingo Nurseries, beautiful bromeliads in distinctive ceramic pottery from The Potting Shed and native trees, vegetable and herb seedlings as well as impatiens from Edem Nursery. The horticulture presentation created by the local nurseries is worth attendance alone.

Jollification also features great food and the Greek community will once again be offering gyros, spanakopita, pastitso, and baklava.  The Batter Girls, Taste of Jamaica, Philipino Delights, Brer Bookie Meat Company and Dino’s Gourmet Conch Salad are just a few of the other vendors who will be on hand with tasty treats for patrons. If sweets are your weakness be sure to pay a visit to Bootleg Chocolates, For Heaven’s Cakes and Savor Ice Cream in the Jolly Market.

The BNT Discovery Club members will be on hand to sell tickets for their raffle, which supports the ongoing expenses of the 60 clubs on nine islands in The Bahamas including New Providence. “Discovery Club celebrates its 20th anniversary this year and we hope that Jollification patrons will stop by our booth and support our raffle which features great prizes including a trip to the Inagua National Park,” said Portia Sweeting, BNT Director of Education.

BNT members will be treated to a special sneak preview of the crafts on Friday evening, November 20th from 5 pm – 8 pm. You must be a member to attend but you can join that evening and support the BNT’s national park system.
