Men empowered at MEK11 Men's Conference

Wed, Oct 21st 2015, 11:12 PM

Hundreds of men flowed into Bahamas Faith Ministries Diplomat Center to attend the MEK11 2015 Men's Conference held October 14-18. The four-day event, hosted by Real Men Ministries International, was labeled a huge success, attracting a diverse cross section of men from throughout New Providence, the Family Islands, the Caribbean and as far away as Africa.

Senior Pastor of Bahamas Faith Ministries Dr. Dave Burrows set the conference ablaze with his opening night teaching on "The re-education of the male man for kingdom purpose". Dr. Pepe Ramnath, senior pastor of Miramar Christian Center, followed on night two with a great message on "The chemistry of fatherhood". Dr. Stacy LeMay, senior pastor of Champion Kingdom Center, based in Charlotte, North Carolina, closed out the final evening session addressing the conference on the topic "The laws of success for a kingdom champion".

Organizers however agree that one of the most memorable experiences of the entire weekend was by far the special session with high school boys who represented some 21 high schools from throughout New Providence. Facilitated by Dr. Dave Burrows, Dr. Carlos Reid, Pastor Eric Fox and Dr. Stacey LeMay, it is said that an estimated 1,000 young men attended with a majority making a commitment to Christ.

The empowerment message overflowed into the Saturday daytime sessions with dynamic teachings from Bahamas Faith Ministries Fellowship Pastor Kersch Darville, who taught on "The kingdom laws of success for men as husbands and fathers" and Pastor Dwayne Adams who addressed the men on "The laws of supernatural success and kingdom". The final session was conducted by Pastor Mario Moxey, senior pastor of Bahamas Harvest Church, who spoke on the topic "Men empowered for personal and national impact and influence".

The men's luncheon which was also held on Saturday drew strong support, creating a dynamic atmosphere of fellowship and networking, allowing brothers to break bread as one.

There was a variety of music and ministry featured during the evening sessions of the conference from several recording artists including Orlando "Landlord" Miller, Derek Adams, Lyrically Blessed and the all-male Haitian ensemble "Yes to Jesus". Marlin Award winner DJ Counsellor performed during the special daytime session for high school boys.

The MEK11 2015 Men's Conference, which was held under the theme "Men empowered for kingdom impact & influence" was also held in honor of Bahamas Faith Ministries founder and conference hosts the late Dr. Myles Munroe and the late Dr. Richard Pinder.

Men walked away from the weekend spiritually refreshed, inspired as well as emotionally and physically rejuvenated, with many hailing this the best men's conference to date. The impact was clearly evident within the lives of so many of the delegates who found solace in the teachings and a tremendous source of strength and edification within the nightly praise and worship experience.

It was also a great time of activation in the lives of many men who not only responded to the invitation to submit their lives to Christ, but who were encouraged and accepted the challenge to live out the message of the kingdom within their professional environment, in their social settings and most especially in their homes. The leadership and members of Real Men Ministries International are now preparing and looking forward to an even more impactful 2016 conference.
