UPDATE OCT. 19, 2015-

Former NBA star Lamar Odom remains in hospital after being found unconscious in his room at a Las Vegas brothel last week.

To date his condition has improved as he is out of the medically induced coma, breathing on his own and communicating.  NBC has reported that multiple drugs were found in Lamar's system including cocaine which it was determined Lamar was using on Saturday prior to checking in at the brothel.  It is not clear whether Lamar used illegal drugs during his stay at the brothel as they do have a "No Drugs" policy according to brothel owner Deniss Hof.

In the wake of this event there has been an outpouring of love from fans of Lamar, fellow athletes, and of course the sports industry as a whole.  Veteran sportscaster and talk show host Scott Van Pelt had his own comments on ESPN's Sports Center, as he took on those referring to Lamar as simply a "Kardashian Reality Star."  Watch below...

Lamar's estranged wife, Khloe Kardashian, remains at his side with various members of the Kardashian family as they continue to pray for his full recovery.  Khloe also saw to it that Lamar's father, two kids, and mother of his children were flown out to Nevada to offer their support.  Once again the Kardashians show they're all about family.  It is important to note, contrary to reports, "Keeping Up With The Kardashian is NOT filimg in Nevada this according to EOnline.

ORIGINAL STORY- OCTOBER 14, 2015

A holiday weekend of wild fun turns into horror for the Kardashian clan as ex-husband of Khloe Kardashian and former NBA star, Lamar Odom, is found unconscious in a Nevada brothel.

Lamar was found unconscious on Tuesday at the Love Ranch in Crystal, Nevada.  According to NBC News, Lamar was checked into the legal brothel on Saturday and was found in an unresponsive state at about 6:30pmET on Tuesday afternoon.  Brothel owner, Dennis Hof, said they immediately called 911 as Lamar was foaming at the mouth and throwing up blood.  Hof stated that Lamar had been taking quite a large amount of herbal viagra over the weekend, and made it clear that no illegal drugs were found in Odom's room.

Ex-wife, Khloe Kardashian, and her mother, Kris Jenner, rushed to Nevada to be by Lamar's side as he remains in critical condition and is unable to breathe on his own.  The irony however, is that according to TMZ it was an episode of "Keeping Up With The Kardashians" that actually upset Lamar on Sunday after someone called him telling him how he'd been portrayed on the show.  TMZ reports that women in the brothel said Lamar became extremely upset and remained so up until the point he was found unconscious.
