SMS Chartered Accountants was reappointed the auditors of the Bahamas Financial Services Board at the 17th annual general meeting, held September 30 at the British Colonial Hilton Hotel. The meeting highlighted accomplishments of the board which included publications and thought leadership, landfall events and conferences as well as efforts relating to the ease of doing business in The Bahamas, policy initiatives and domestic outreach.

SMS Chartered Accountants is a boutique financial services audit and accounting firm that has been in existence for more than seven years. The firm's managing principal is Reece Chipman. The firm specializes in financial services audits, inspections, internal control audits and the production of policies and procedures manuals.

The meeting ended on a high note with the CEO and the chairman expressing optimism about the future of the financial services industry.
