Cable Bahamas announced that effective October 15, its REVTV subscribers will enjoy some of their favorite first run Showtime series on the HBO Caribbean channel, just 24 hours after the U.S. premiere, bringing greater value for REVTV subscribers. Effective October 15, 2015, Showtime will be replaced with an enhanced HBO subscription package, providing subscribers with immediate access to additional video on demand (VOD) content, with a change in rate to $17.99 per month; HBO-Showtime subscribers transitioning to this HBO package can see a 28 percent reduction in their monthly subscription costs.

The Showtime network will be removed from REVTV October 15. This transition has also made way for 350 free hours of VOD content, including Showtime original series to the HBO on demand service available on 500 REVTV on demand.

HBO Latin America will not only deliver its own award-winning HBO original programming with worldwide premieres, but also the most current seasons of Showtime's Penny Dreadful, Golden Globe® winning crime drama, Ray Donovan and the Golden Globe®-winning and Emmy®-nominated comedy drama House of Lies. In addition, the channel will continue to provide the best slate of Hollywood films from the world's top movie studios: Warner Bros. Pictures, Universal Studios, Walt Disney Studios and Sony Pictures Entertainment.

Cable Bahamas Vice President of Marketing David Burrows stated that, with the inclusion of HBO programming, REVTV customers will have access to Showtime content conveniently packaged within their HBO subscriptions.

"HBO subscribers will not only have the powerhouse channels of HBO, but also more than 350 hours of HBO on demand content as well." Mr Burrows stated.

"We know that subscription VOD content is very popular with our REVTV subscribers," said Burrows, "with more than 60 percent of our VOD viewing being attributed to HBO content."

"Our HBO subscribers will now have everything HBO has to offer, plus much of the Showtime content, all within one service, and more than double the hours of HBO on demand," Mr. Burrows explained.
