NASSAU, Bahamas -- The Ministry of Education, Science and Technology wishes to bring clarity to the Press Release issued on Sunday, 30th August regarding the new dates for public school students to return to school due to changes made as a result of Tropical Storm Erika.

All Preschool, Primary and Special Needs school students will report to school Wednesday, 2nd September and will return to school Thursday, 3rd and Friday 4th September
All 7th and 10th graders attending Junior and Senior High School respectively for the first time will report to school Wednesday, 2nd September and will return to school Thursday the 3rd and Friday the 4th
All 8th and 11th graders will report to school Thursday, 3rd September and return to school on Friday the 4th
All 9th and 12th graders will report to school Friday, 4th September, 2015.

Please note that at the junior and senior high school levels, it has always been the custom of the Department of Education to stagger the return dates for the various grade levels. Once students report to school on the first day, they will return to school for the remainder of the week.
