Old as the hills and new as today

Someone who is a human resources consultant and who is marketing my annual staff motivation program which is delivered online through The Reilly Institute website which can be accessed at www.dpaulreilly.com to businesses, told me of her meeting with a top human resources manager who told her, that he was looking for something new for motivating his staff.

Well of course, my program is new in as much as it is delivered online and is thus a continuous program which is available to staff 24/7, 52 weeks a year. However, apparently this person was adamant about the fact that he was looking to the U.S. for something completely new. It really never ceases to amaze me how people are always looking for something new whilst at the same time trying to ignore the fact that as the Bible points out quite clearly, "There is nothing new under the sun".

In other words, there are a set of universal principles which were in vogue, let's say some 2,000 years ago, but are still totally relevant in the 21st century. Principles don't change, and they work today just as surely as they did in yesteryear. So what's covered and is available in my annual staff motivation program which as I already stated is delivered online is as the title of today's article simply and succinctly puts it, old as the hills and new as today.

Yes indeed, solid principles for successful living do not change from year to year for they are timeless. So D. Paul, could you give me an example of what you're talking about? Sure will! Let's take the law of cause and effect, which simply states, that as you sow, so shall you reap. That universal principle is as old as the hills and new as today, as it applies to individuals, organizations and indeed nations too. What we put out today in the form of thoughts, words and actions will ultimately return to us in due course. Yes indeed, universal principles do not change with time as they're right now, fully up to date.
