A 28-year-old man was shot and killed yesterday around 2:20 p.m. through Charles Vincent Street, police reported. Head of the Central Detective Unit (CDU) Chief Superintendent Paul Rolle said they believe the man was walking toward his home when a black Honda Civic drove alongside him. Rolle said one of the passengers exited the car, pursued the victim, and shot him several times in the upper body, including the head. He added that the men then drove off in the car heading south along Charles Vincent Street.

Rolle said officers found the abandoned vehicle soon after on Miami Street. The vehicle was reported stolen from a resident of Fox Hill this morning. Rolle said that the police currently do not have a motive for this latest homicide and appealed to the public for any information.

This murder brings the count to 89 for the year.
