Police have charged two teenagers in connection with last week's armed robbery of Mahogany House.

Harrison Petty III, 18, of Antigua Street, and a 17-year-old appeared before Magistrate Andrew Forbes on Monday on four counts of armed robbery.

Prosecutors allege that on July 20 they robbed Mahogany House of two bottles of wine and $230 cash.

The young men are also accused of robbing Philip Dunkley of a Timex watch and driver's license; Sharvis McGregor of a Samsung Galaxy S4 and Omari Forbes of a Samsung cell phone on the same date.

The suspects were not required to enter pleas to the charges and have been remanded to the Bahamas Department of Correctional Services until October 6, as the magistrate does not have the jurisdiction to consider bail for the offenses.

The case is expected to be transferred to the Supreme Court by a voluntary bill of indictment on their next court appearance. Attorney Nathan Smith appeared for Petty.

The juvenile, who did not have a lawyer, appeared with his mother.
