Three of Colina Insurance Limited's branch leaders have been recognized for excellence in traditional and contemporary field management in the financial services industry by GAMA International, a global non-profit organization dedicated to the development of leaders in insurance, investment and financial services.

Branch Managers Sandra Smith and Kino McCartney were among 1,649 recipients of GAMA's International Management Award at the Bronze Level, which recognizes first-line managers. Assistant Branch Manager Sandra Walkes earned the Frontline Leader Award along with 1,584 frontline managers worldwide who supervise at least five full-time career agents, advisors or sales representatives.

Smith is a 21-year veteran of the insurance industry, beginning her career in 1994 as an insurance salesperson. After being promoted to sales manager, she was named branch manager of the Rosetta branch in 2009. She is a member of the Million Dollar Roundtable, a global association of the world's leading life insurance and financial services professionals with membership recognized internationally as the standard of excellence in the life insurance and financial services business. In 2011 she was named manager of the year. Smith holds qualifications in AMTC field management and earned the Financial Advisors Skills Training Award and Pacesetter Award.

McCartney is the branch manager of Colina's Collins branch, the company's current branch of the year. He began his career in insurance 19 years ago as an insurance salesperson, transitioning to unit manager and sales manager before being named to his current position. His awards include being named sales manager of the year and branch manager of the year.

Walkes currently serves as assistant branch manager of the Collins branch and the company's sales manager of the year. She has held progressively senior sales leadership positions during her 29 years in the industry and has accrued company awards for unit production, recruitment and management leadership. She has also been at the helm for three unit of the year awards.

The recipients of this year's International Management Awards and Frontline Leader Award were recognized at GAMA's annual LAMP conference in Orlando, Florida in March and are included in the July/August 2015 issue of GAMA International Journal.
