NASSAU, Bahamas -- Island Living Real Estate has announced the appointment of Bahamas Real Estate Association (BREA) Director and veteran real estate broker Christine Wallace-Whitfield, BRI, CRS, as the firm's second broker and the first member to hold the prestigious CRS designation.
"We are delighted to announce the appointment of Christine Wallace Whitfield," said Island Living President Rachel Pinder. "She not only brings a wealth of experience in the profession, but has demonstrated over a 17-year career that she understands what it takes to earn a client's trust and loyalty. That quality is especially important in a boutique firm like Island Living where reputation is not gained by international alliance but through every transaction."
Wallace-Whitfield was among the first professionals in The Bahamas to earn the coveted Certified Residential Specialist designation symbolizing the highest level awarded to residential agents, managers and brokers by the National Association of Realtors(TM). She currently serves as Education Chairman of the local industry's governing body, BREA, and was elected the body's Grand Bahama chairman from 2010-2012, having practiced in Grand Bahama extensively. She has been a director of BREA several times.
"Few sales associates, and even fewer brokers, have Christine's breadth of experience from living and working in Nassau, Grand Bahama and Exuma," said Ms. Pinder. "That experience will be invaluable as Island Living continues to expand, particularly in appraisals and property management, outside New Providence."
Wallace-Whitfield, who studied in England, Atlanta and Spain, holds a Bachelor's degree in Commercial Art. Specializing in art and photography, she has built a reputation for extensive and appealing use of social media space where the National Association of Realtors estimates that 90% of all real estate searches start.
