NASSAU, Bahamas - Ginger Moxey, founder of Immerse Magazine, The Bahamas' hottest quarterly magazine to explode on the scene this year, recently made an extra special delivery when she visited the Legendary Prince Ronald 'Ronnie' Butler at his home in New Providence.
Butler, who is featured in the launch edition of the magazine, tells it all in his 'All For Love' piece, and is affectionately known as the Godfather of Bahamian music.
Having started out at the ripe, tender age of 17, the Bahamian great has left his marks in hotels around the world, including England, Canada, South America and the United States and has even performed at the Appollo Theater in New York City.
Ronnie, as Bahamians all know him, wrote his first song, Bahamian Gal, on his first album called "Ronnie Butler Steps Out" and was just last year inducted into the Caribbean Hall of Fame on October 25. Other artists, such as Beenie Man, Shaggy and Taurus Riley were also nominated in the Caribbean Hall of Fame music category.
Butler is the fourth Bahamian to receive the distinction - after Sir Lynden O. Pindling, Actor Sir Sidney Poitier and Singer/Songwriter/Artist Eddie Minnis.
