Track community mourning death of Dr Willard Thompson

THE track and field community is mourning the sudden passing of Dr Willard Thompson.

News spread yesterday of Thompson's death over the weekend at home in the east. He apparently died of a heart attack.

Thompson, who was in his late 50s, was fondly remembered for the role he played in both the Bahamas Olympic Association (BOA) and the Bahamas Association of Athletic Associations (BAAA) in their drug prevention campaign.
