50th Anniversary of 'Black Tuesday' Commemorated

 Prime Minister the Rt. Hon. Perry G. Christie and Government Ministers, pictured, spoke at the ceremonies commemorating the pivotal event on Tuesday, April 27, 1965 when Sir Lynden Pindling threw the Mace, the symbol of the Speaker’s authority, out of the window of the House of Assembly and set the course of Bahamian history on the path to Majority Rule.
