A YOUNG Bahamian basketball star is making her presence felt and providing a major contribution to one of the nation's most storied programmes.

Waltiea Rolle has worked her way into the North Carolina Tar Heels' regular starting rotation as the team currently boasts an undefeated 10-0 record and has established itself as a powerhouse in NCAA Women's Basketball.

In the latest outing, the 12th ranked Tar Heels squad continued their stellar play with a 78-66 win over the University of Nevada-Las Vegas.
