Bahamians warned over seat belt law

Bahamians have been warned to take the new seat belt law seriously as police announced an additional 50 officers will hit the streets to help enforce it.
At a press conference yesterday, Sergeant Garland Rolle said the officers will be posted at various points throughout New Providence, checking vehicles and handing out information pamphlets.
According to Superintendent Carolyn Bowe, there will be a two-week "grace period" in which the public will be allowed to adjust to the law.
