Art Exhibition on the life of Sir Clifford unveiled at The National Insurance Board

Sir Clifford Darling as Minister of Labour and National Insurance at the time, in October 1974, introduced the National Insurance Programme in The Bahamas.

During this 40th Anniversary year of the National Insurance Board (NIB), an art exhibition on the life of Sir Clifford was unveiled at the National Insurance Board, November 12, in a ceremony addressed by Marco Rolle, Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Labour, on behalf of the Minister the Hon. Shane Gibson. Lady Ingrid Darling attended the event.

Lorenzo Symonettte rendered a selection, “You’ll Never Walk Alone,” and Bishop Harry Collie presented the bouquet of flowers to Lady Darling. Pictured at the art exhibit unveiling are Lady Darling with Marco Rolle at left, and Bishop Collie at right; and receiving her flowers.
