Every great production has a great cast of characters, and Bahamas Waste is definitely a part of the cast helping to beautify the Dundas Centre for the Performing Arts.
In an effort to be the premier site for live shows in New Providence, the Dundas is currently undergoing an extensive revamp, and there were no theatrics involved when it came to Bahamas Waste stepping up to help.
"The Dundas Centre for the Performing Arts continues to be grateful for Bahamas Waste's donation of garbage collection services at our premises," said Nello Lambert, Bahamas Waste project manager. "Their contributions have significantly assisted us with our restoration and enhancement efforts."
When the Dundas reached out to Bahamas Waste for help, it was a simple yes. Francisco de Cardenas, managing director at Bahamas Waste commented, "I have fond memories of Betty Knowles and many of the productions put on at the Dundas. I know, through past contributors to the center, how poorly funded they are and it is imperative that we assist the performing arts in The Bahamas. If there was more we could do to help, we would do it."
Charitable efforts go hand in hand with making The Bahamas a greener place at Bahamas Waste, and assisting various non-profits with their clean-up efforts is one way the company can lend a helping hand. Those who want to help the Dundas Centre, should contact it at dundascentre@coralwave.com or 393-3728. Its goal is to be the place to go in Nassau for theatrical performances.
