A new promotion between Starbucks and (RED) was announced on December 4, in support of the Global Fund to Fight AIDS. Starbucks planed a "Global Sing Along" to take place simultaneously around the globe on Monday, December 7.

At exactly 8:30 a.m. ET this morning, musicians worldwide joined together in a performance of The Beatles classic "All You Need Is Love." This performance was streamed live online at StarbucksLoveProject.com. BahamasLocal.com?s CEO Jason McDowall along with Charles Smith and Kevin Taylor were part of the Bahamas live feed. Local artists, TaDa, Mia Smith, Robbie Bartlett, Nathan Stone, Shiraz, and a few more performed live for the event which was shot at the Hilton Hotel in Nassau.

The (RED) live event was streamed from 7 continents, 196 countries with 1053 Ethnicities and with 6912 language differences.

Starbucks Coffee Company united the local artists from around the world for the simultaneous, live performance of the legendary hit ?All You Need Is Love? as a single global concert. Inspired by the vision of the Playing for Change Band, this project spans languages, cultures and time zones through the universal language of music, with musicians contributing in individual ways that are customary and unique to their homeland to create a one-of-a-kind rendition of the song.

A first for Starbucks, the event used state of the art technology to stream the live feed of this performance on www.StarbucksLoveProject.com. Following the sing-along, everyone with access to the site and a video camera will have the opportunity to submit their own version of ?All You Need Is Love? for the world to see and hear.
