Final match-ups set at AID Clay Court Championships

Going into the final weekend at the AID Clay Court Championships, being played at the Gym Tennis Club in Winton Meadows, the competitors in the three remaining finals have been decided.
In the first Jr. Vets singles semi-final on Thursday, number one seed Larry Rolle easily defeated third seeded Harrington Saunders, 6-1 and 6-2. In the other semi-final, unseeded Brent Johnson disposed of Michele Clivio, 6-0 and 6-4.
On Friday, beginning at 4:30 p.m., play will begin with the Jr. Vets doubles final between the second seeded team of Austin Burrows and Sean Cartwright going up against the unseeded pair of Vince Andrews and Steve Thompson. Andrews and Thompson actually took out the number one seeded team of Andrew Barr and Larry Rolle in a very close, three-set contest on Wednesday.
The second match on Friday at 5:45 p.m., will be the mixed doubles final pairing the two top seeded teams. The number one seeded team of Kevin Major Jr. and Danielle Thompson will take on the number two seeded team of Shannon Francis and Iesha Sheperd.
On Saturday, the final match of the tournament, the Men's Jr. Vets singles final will take place at 4:30 p.m. between Larry Rolle and Brent Johnson. The presentation of trophies to all finalists in the tournament will follow after this match, and will be done by Harold Watson, president and managing director of the tournament sponsor, AID (Automotive Industrial Distributors Ltd.).
