An adventurous attitude

My friend, if you wish to live a good life, a contented life full to capacity with success, I honestly believe that you need to develop an adventurous attitude. So D. Paul, what exactly do you mean by that statement an adventurous attitude some may query? Well, if you log onto dictionary.com on your computer and look up the word "adventurous" it states as follows "Full of risk; requiring courage; hazardous." The World English Dictionary defines adventurous as "dangerous; involving risk."So my friend, what I'm really advocating here today in a nutshell is this. Stop playing it safe, you've got to be prepared to venture outside your comfort zone and thus take some risks, try some things that could be quite hazardous. However, if they work, they will indeed lead to a much better, more meaningful life for you, across the board. My friend, I guarantee, that if you were to sit down in a room with some of the most successful people across a wide spectrum of disciplines, and you asked them how they made it to where they are today, I'll guarantee, that none of them achieved the success they enjoy today without at times taking a chance on something which could have quite easily failed. Yes indeed, there is absolutely no doubt about it whatsoever, if you wish to succeed in life, you've got to be fully prepared to walk out on a limb, to take a chance, a calculated risk. In short, as today's title suggests, you must develop an adventurous attitude. Yes you must!In Dr. Napoleon Hill's great book "Think and Grow Rich," he has a chapter that deals with leadership where he lists, what he terms, the 11 qualities of leadership. The number one quality of leadership according to Dr. Hill is unwavering courage. Yes my friend, if you really wish to succeed, to be a leader in your field, you definitely cannot be a wishy-washy type of weak individual who is afraid to take any risks at all. Successful people and all leaders need of necessity to be very courageous people who are always fully prepared to bet on themselves, and thus step out boldly as they embark on an exciting adventure to climb the mountain and reach the highest peak, the summit of success. Yes indeed, if you really wish to succeed, across the board, you simply must develop and maintain an adventurous attitude.
