New York consul general attends pastoral anniversary service

Forrester J. Carroll, Bahamas consul general to New York, attended the 25th pastoral anniversary service for Bahamian-born Rev. Dr. Jeffrey A. Ingraham, at Calvary Baptist Church in Norwalk, Connecticut, on Sunday, April 27, 2014.

Born and reared in Nassau, as a child Rev. Dr. Ingraham attended St. James Baptist Church, located on Kemp Road. In 1974 he began his studies at Florida Memorial College, graduating with a bachelors of science degree in 1978. He also received a master's degree in divinity from Yale University Divinity School in 1981 and a doctorate of ministry degree from Hartford Seminary in Hartford, Connecticut, in 2001.

Ingraham is active in the life of the Norwalk community and has served on a number of boards and commissions. Presently, he is a commissioner of the Norwalk Housing Authority. He has served as president of the Interdenominational Ministers Fellowship of Norwalk and Vicinity; president of the Norwalk Clergy Association, and moderator of the Fairfield Association of the American Baptist Churches of Connecticut.

In attendance at the pastoral anniversary service were Rev. Dr. Anthony J. Carroll, of Antioch Native Baptist Church in Nassau, The Bahamas, who was the guest speaker. Senator Bob Duff and Mayor Harry W. Rilling from the City of Norwalk were also in attendance to honor Ingraham.
