Fix the inside

I was just flipping through the channels on my TV set some time back and I stopped briefly on a talk show. There were several ladies sitting on a couch talking about plastic surgery.Among these ladies was a mother and daughter. The daughter, who I would estimate was about 20-years-old, was going to have plastic surgery to enlarge her breasts, and her mother was in complete agreement with her daughter's decision. Now this young lady who was about to go under the knife to get her breasts enlarged, was to my way of thinking an extremely beautiful young lady. So, she had relatively small breasts, which are just as appealing as large ones, and to many men whom I know, perhaps more so.When this young lady who was about to undergo breast augmentation surgery was asked by the host why she wanted this plastic surgery, as the host thought that she was very pretty, which as I stated already she was, she said that in high school she always felt inadequate due to her small breasts. At that point, I wrote down the title of this article, "Fix The Inside". So D. Paul what exactly do you mean by that statement fix the inside, could you explain further? I certainly will.In my opinion, this young lady needs some counselling to rectify the feeling of inadequacy which she is harboring in the recesses of her mind. She is in need of a mental operation, not a physical operation. She needs to have her self-image raised to the point where she realizes that she is indeed very attractive, just as God made her.Dr. Maxwell Maltz, whom I had the privilege of knowing and working with some years back, was one of the world's greatest plastic surgeons, who operated and lectured all around the globe. He realized at one point, to put it in his exact words, that only five percent of the world's population have external scars, whereas 95 percent of the world's population have, what he described as mental scars. It was at this point that he wrote the definitive book on self-image psychology, "Psycho-Cybernetics". Yes indeed, a whole lot of people who have low self-esteem for a variety of reasons need expert counselling so that they can heal the mental scars which are causing them to feel inferior in some way. In other words, we need to, as today's title simply and succinctly states it, "Fix The Inside".So my friend, in conclusion, if for some reason you feel inadequate, particularly if you're female, I suggest that before you resort to putting something right on the exterior, you first get some professional counselling to fix the inside, the thoughts and concepts in your mind which are the real cause of your problem.o THINK ABOUT IT!
