Historic Sand Box trees get a trim

But this may not always be the case, according to Joy Burrows, a professional tree care specialist. Burrows said there is a pruning practice that plagues the well-being and life of trees. The practice is known as topping and it involves cropping the uppermost branches of plants and trees in an effort to stop them from growing.
