6:41pm ? Final preparations are being made to the area around the beautiful Cain Pool at the Cove, Atlantis, Paradise Island. Cain is known for having great music, and this evening is no different. As the DJ sets up, sounds range from the latest in dance and pop to reggae. Hotel chefs and servers are also busy assuring that everything is in order for when the contestants arrive.

6:53pm ? The music has cut out and the environment around Cain is quiet, notably in contrast to itself later on tonight. From the Cain Pool one is able to get a beautiful view of the Reef Tower at Atlantis.

7:28pm ? The ladies are approaching the entrance of the Cain Pool.

7:52pm ? The contestants of Miss Universe 2009 enter to a rousing round of applause. The scene is amazing as the flame at the center of the pool ignites. Reigning Miss Universe Dayana Mendoza enters, looking elegant, to an even louder applause. She makes her way around the pool to face the contestants, one of whom she will crown, when her reign ends in just a few more days.

8:08pm ? Miss Universe Dayana Mendoza begins dancing to the rhythm of the music. She decides to enter the pool. Miss Universe then mounts the center of the pool with the flame gleaming behind her, looking striking in swimwear.

8:20pm ? People begin to mingle and speak with the contestants; some are also trying of food prepared the excellent Atlantis staff. The ladies are having a great time, as they smile and take pictures with those of whom they?ve already made friendships.

8:22pm ? The press are asked the leave, as the contestants and guests begin to enjoy their exciting night at Cain.
