Grand Bahama students plant school garden for Earth Week

Garden.jpg Freeport, Bahamas - As a part of the Guidance Program, sixth (6th) grade students at Mary, Star of the Sea Catholic School are required to complete twenty (20) hours of community service in order to matriculate out of the school.  As the school year is quickly coming to a close, some students were still in need of community service hours. 

Noting that parents are often very busy some weekends, and needing a break from carpooling to various activities outside of school during the week, Guidance Counselor, Paytrilee Pinder, decided to do something to celebrate Earth Week here at the school , and also provide an opportunity for students to gain additional community service hours. Here at Mary, Star of the Sea Catholic students and parents are encouraged to practice healthy eating habits, incorporating more fruits and vegetables...
