Richard 'Richie' Pyfrom is still the man to beat as the Cable Bahamas Bowling Nationals moves into its final week at Mario's Bowling & Family Entertainment Palace. After two blocks, Pyfrom leads the men with a 2,631 pinfall. This puts him in a good position to make the TV finals. With him making the round of 18, he will have to bowl an additional six-game block on Saturday April 20 to actually make the TV finals which will be held on Sunday April 21, 2013. Three-time winner Lee Davis now holds down the second spot, with a total of 2,535.

When the dust is settled, Lee Davis should be part of the TV finals. Whether he qualifies first or fifth, he should more than likely be there. Johann Pyfrom is in third with 2,482 pins. He must continue to bowl well if he wants to be part of the conversation. 'Big' Stan Bethel is in fourth place, with 2,474 total pins. This is a surprise, and Bethel is out to prove the naysayers wrong. He is bowling extremely well. Sonith Lockhart rounds out the top five with a 2,440 total pinfall after two blocks. David Slatter, Ryan Davis, Kelsey Rolle, Willard Casale and Mario Brown must "find their line" early on Wednesday, if they have any hopes of moving into the top five.

Men categories 'A', 'B' and 'C' will bowl their final mandatory six-game block on Wednesday April 17, to determine who will move into the elite round of 18. Categories 'D' and 'E' will bowl a mandatory third block on Thursday April 18, starting at 6:30 p.m. On the women's side, Driskell Rolle has relinquished the lead to newcomer Xynea Johnson. Rolle stumbled in her second block and must now re-group if she has any hope of catching Johnson. After the second block, Johnson has a 2,232 total pinfall and Rolle has a 2,074 total pinfall. Cagey veteran Marina McClain is lurking in the shadows.

She is right in the thick of things with a 2,054 total pinfall. Rounding out the top five women are experienced bowlers Janice Hoyte and Angie Smith. Ladies 'C' and 'D' bowlers will bowl Monday April 15, to complete their second blocks so there is a possibility that the leaderboard will change. The race to the round of 18 concludes by Thursday when the top 18 in the men and top 18 in the women will advance to the "elite round of 18".

This group on the men and women's sides will bowl a fourth block (six games). Those bowlers who make the "cut" have an opportunity to qualify for the TV finals. Only five men and five women will bowl in the TV finals, which will be aired live on Cable Bahamas on the Sunday April 21, 2013. The nationals are under the auspices of the Bahamas Bowling Federation (BBF). The president is Yule Hoyte.
