Scotiabank Celebrates Small Business Week

Scotiabank (Bahamas) Ltd. has designated next week as Small Business Week under the theme, "Celebrating Small Business". During the week, Scotiabank will host a series of events to recognize the invaluable contributions of small business owners to the Bahamian economy. This week of activities will comprise varied events aimed at assisting small business owners with managing and developing their businesses.

Throughout the week, the bank's small business professionals will help Bahamian entrepreneurs discover what's possible by offering relevant advice, services and tools that will help them start and grow their small business. Scotiabank's Small Business Week will officially commence on Tuesday, October 2 with a Small Business Seminar under the theme "Women in Business - Success Secrets".

This event will feature a panel of successful Bahamian businesswomen who will share their experiences and secrets to managing successful businesses. Panelists include Joan Albury, Dionne Smith-Benjamin, Latoya Hanna-Moxey and Glenette Reckley. The seminar is open to the general public and will be held at the British Colonial Hilton in the Windsor Room beginning at 6 p.m.

On Wednesday, October 3, the bank will host a lunch and learn session in partnership with the Grand Bahama Chamber of Commerce at the Grand Lucayan. Both events are also open to the public. A Client Appreciation Reception will conclude the week in Nassau.
