WITH the rise of the mega-resort and all-inclusive holiday, the vibrant live entertainment scene once synonymous with the style and charm of Old Nassau effectively disappeared.

Gone are the days when tourists and locals alike crammed the bars of hotels like the Nassau Beach to witness Ronnie Butler doing his thing, or blended on the dance floor of clubs like Charlie Charlie where André Toussaint ruled the stage, or headed over to the Cat 'n' Fiddle, to see anyone from the newest local singer to Frank Sinatra or James Brown perform.
