Bank treats youngsters

SCOTIABANK (Bahamas) teamed up with the Department of Public Health to host a 'Day at the Zoo' treat for children from the latter's Suspected Child Abuse and Neglect Unit.

The children enjoyed a day at the Ardastra Gardens and Zoo, where they were treated to a live performance by Derek Adams and Charlie the Yellow Bahamian.

Althea Turner-Neilly, the SCAN unit's coordinator, said: "At the SCAN unit our mission is to provide hope and healing after the trauma of abuse, neglect and violence, and this mission can only be accomplished with the assistance, support and generosity of companies such as Scotiabank."
