Taylor University's Voices of Praise Gospel Choir is on a mission in The Bahamas, and they pray that the people they encounter will have ears to hear and hearts prepared to respond to the message of the Gospel during their nine-day visit. The choir arrived on New Providence on Saturday, March 17, for a number of performances prior to their Sunday, March 25 departure. They performed at Fellowship Baptist Church, Abundant Life Bible Church, Sandiland's Senior Citizens Home, A.F. Adderley Junior School, Kingsway Academy Junior School assembly, The Nazareth Centre Children's Home, Aquinas College and Grace Community Church. With four days left on their trip, the group traveled to Harbour Island today to perform at the All-Age School. They will finish up their Bahamas tour with performances at the Children's Emergency Hostel and the Ranfurly Homes for Children on Saturday, March 24 between noon and 3 p.m., and another at the Abundant Life Bible Church at 6:30 p.m. on the same day. The choir members said they desired to reflect the love and joy of Christ during their time in The Bahamas. They also said while serving, they were open to learning from Bahamians as well. They hoped that Bahamian believers will be encouraged and that their ministry will be increased through the trip. The gospel choir chose Psalm 100: 2-3 as their team verse, "Worship the Lord with gladness; come before Him with joyful songs. Know that the Lord is God." The Voices of Praise Gospel Choir is a multicultural, student-led vocal performance ensemble whose mission is to proclaim the Gospel and unify believers through their gifts in music. Their goal is to make every performance not just a performance, but rather a declaration of the Gospel message, through which they are able to transcend the ordinary performance and lead groups of people in unified worship of Jesus Christ.
