A man who pleaded guilty to stealing from a tourist has been fined.
Wesley Denis Deus, 29, of Pinder's Point, Grand Bahama, pleaded guilty to stealing an iPhone, a camera and$60 cash from Jessica Bustamente at Junkanoo Beach, during his arraignment before Magistrate Jeanine Weech Gomez.
Magistrate Gomez ordered Deus to pay Jessica Bustamente$260 in compensation for the stolen items. If he does not repay Bustamente, Deus will spend 14 days at Her Majesty's Prison.
Magistrate Gomez fined Deus$500 on the theft charge. If the fine is not paid, he will serve a 30-day sentence.
