TEENAGER GIVEN CHANCE TO REDEEM HIMSELF

THE prosecution's willingness to accept a teenager's guilty plea to a drug possession charge led to the young man being given a chance to redeem himself.

Lenny Oscar, 18, was granted $1,000 bail and ordered to undergo four months of counselling while being subjected to weekly urine tests to ensure no drugs are in his system.

Oscar was initially arraigned in Court One, Bank Lane on the charge of possession of marijuana with intent to supply. He is alleged to have committed the offence on Tuesday, December 20.
