WATERLOO, Iowa --- Master artists from the Bahamas will visit the Waterloo Center for the Arts for a symposium October 14-15th, 2011.

The two-day symposium will feature such artists as Kendal Hanna, Max Taylor, Dave Smith, Stan Burnside, Jackson Burnside, Antonius Roberts, John Beadle and John Cox. Artist/musician Eddie Minnis will present a rare performance, and the acclaimed Ruppapumpum will provide the sounds of the island's traditional Junkanoo celebration.

The related exhibition will feature these artists' work, and the center's collected works of Amos Ferguson. An opening reception is planned at 7 p.m. October 14...
