Coach Kevin 'KJ' Johnson pleased with under-17 boys national team

COACH Kevin 'KJ' Johnson said he couldn't ask for a better performance from the men's under-17 national team at the Centrobasket Tournament in Gurabo, Puerto Rico.

The team blew a four-point lead in the final 14 seconds after making two critical turnovers that saw the US Virgin Islands take advantage to force an overtime.

In the extra period, the Virgin Islands went on to secure a 86-83 victory to drop the Bahamas to fourth place. As a result of the loss, the Bahamas failed to advance to the next Under-18 Tournament of the Americas.
